Even though hot sauce show season was a bust this year due to COVID, the 2020 NYC Hot Sauce Expos still held its well-known Screaming Mi Mi Awards, where some of the best hot sauces in the industry are judged. Here are this year's winners! Congratulations to some of the great sauces award this year.
Hellfire Hot Sauce, Fear This
Dirty Dick's hot sauce deceives you. At first taste it's a sweet, mild, Caribbean-style hot sauce with hints of mango, pineapple, and banana. But then the habanero creeps up on you and you start to feel the heat. And then you want more. Much more. The heat is by no means overwhelming, but it is a great counterpoint to the tropical fruits. Goes great with fish, eggs, and chicken.
When Dick first sent us a sample of this sauce, Dante and I blew through the entire bottle in a single day. Seriously, it's really that good. And it's now a staple in our house.

3rd PlaceFlash Point Peachanero hot sauce is a tasty combination of sweet peaches, tart vinegar, red habanero peppers, and a splash of Fireball Whisky for a spicy flavor kick.
We love this on pork, wings, and chicken. Try it on cream cheese and bagels for a special morning treat.

Dicks Caribbean Dreams
Dick's Caribbean Dreams hot sauce is a Barbados style mustard-based hot sauce, that gets its heat from habanero peppers, and it's Caribbean vibe from succulent fruits (pineapple, peaches, and pears), mustard, brown sugar and fresh spices. Dick's Caribbean is a perfect complement to fish, chicken, and pork.
If you're a fan of Dirty Dick's Original sauce (and we're HUGE fans of that sauce here at Doc Hotties), then you'll love this new take on Caribbean heat.
